Application: Water™ - Wireless Action Tracking and Event Reporting – Powered by AirClic

Water™ is a mobile information service that enables tracking, accessing, monitoring or reporting on people, objects, actions, time, location, next steps and comments. Water™ users are most often mobile and geographically diverse employees who become more efficient and effective when they have access to accurate, relevant and timely information using mobile phones.

Central to Water™ is the use of barcodes to designate actions, locations and things. Scanners attached to Mike phones read the barcodes, which access or transmit relevant information via TELUS Mobility’s iden network to AirClic’s Mobile Information Platform. Using scanners to enter data ensures speed, ease of use and accuracy; the mobile phone connection allows the data to be downloaded in real time and enables real time data responses to be delivered to the employee.

Water™ adds value to all functions in an enterprise community: a field employee accesses information from the field, a parent arranges alternate child transportation plans, or a supervisor interrupts a procedure and asks an important question. All of this can be done using the mobile phone that the employee or agent already carries and uses.
