Application: Data Burst technologies, Inc.

There are three primary components involved in using the system:

1. GPS Receiver
The electronic brain of the system is the iTRAK™ GPS receiver, which uses an industry standard, ruggedized GPS receiver with a special ARM on-board microprocessor to track the vehicle position, speed and heading. This unit is exceptionally small, allowing for plug and play operation with a wide variety of packet data capable wireless phones or tethered packet data modems. Simply place it in the vehicle and plug it in!

2. Wireless Device
The iTRAK™ unit plugs into either a wireless phone that has packet data service enabled, such as the Mike phone from Telus Mobility, or a separate vehicle-installed data modem on the TELUS Mobility CDPD or iDEN network. If implemented with a mobile phone, a handset cradle is recommended to keep the phone from sliding around in the vehicle.

3. NavView Service
With the wireless device or modem and GPS receiver in place in your vehicle, you then subscribe to the NavView GPS tracking service, which is accessed from your office or home via the internet. There is no software to load or maintain. Simply log into your subscriber account with a password to view the location of your vehicle fleet, check on current status or view previous activities. NavView can even alert your wireless device or office via email when a vehicle crosses a defined boundary!
